The problem

Action games usually mean a download and a powerful machine. The challenge was a fast, readable 3D shooter — dense hordes, rain, lighting, and explosions — that loads from a link and stays playable on a phone.

What we shipped

Highway Horde renders its world with React Three Fiber and three.js, with post-processing for lighting and atmosphere. Weapons heat up so firing comes in bursts, homing missiles lock on automatically, and hard swerves shake off zombies clinging to the car. On phones, dual-thumb touch controls with aim assist take over, and the game installs to the home screen to play fullscreen in landscape.

Capabilities

  • Seven vehicles with their own armor, speed, and handling
  • Weapon heat, homing missiles, and kill streaks
  • Mouse, keyboard, and dual-thumb touch controls
  • Installable to play fullscreen in landscape
